Maybe I'm the only one

who didn't think this movie was excellent. I was disappointed, it was definately no Sin City, the action was no Troy, and the visuals although good left a lot to be desired. As far as artistic violence, you did not see a whole lot of it (I didn't think it was that gory and it was stylised anyway). I must prefer the stunning choreography and visuals of House of Flying Daggers or Hero. The dialogue was minimal and there was little character development. Also historically it was slightly exaggerated and the Persians are made out to be superhuman. As a history nut that bothered me a lot! Nonetheless my husband enjoyed it and so did our friend. If you can happily sit there and watch action with little else then you may enjoy it.

Makes me so glad I am vegetarian

I really liked this movie, it was very confronting and hopefully it makes people think twice about what they are eating and the whole process of how food gets to the table. Also the effects of the cycle of immigration, that happens here also, they come over here, are untrained and underpaid, accidents happen and they end up on welfare disillusioned and angry.
